She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Doing Life Foundation, is immediate past president of the Board of Directors of the Rensselaer County Historical Society, and former Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Ellen Sinopoli Dance Company, and the Actors Collaborative. In recognition of her leadership in the Community and Government Sectors, Joyce was inducted as a member of The Transformational Leadership, Council in 2006. She was the 2011 recipient of the Resourceful Woman of The Year Award from the YWCA of the Greater Capital Region for empowering women through her community and professional pursuits.
